Me llamo David

I spent years and years learning english without being successful until I came to Ireland. In the past five years I have been aware of my learning needs which helped me to develop my own methodologies to teach Spanish. I don’t just teach how to speak Spanish, but how to use strategies to improve your comprehension and communicative skills.

By working with all the ages, children, teenagers and adults I have gained a wide experience teaching Spanish. I have prepared students for the IB Exams and have been an examiner for the Oral Spanish Exams for Leaving Cert. 

At the moment I work as a Spanish teacher in the following centres: St Andrews College Junior School, Loreto College The Green, St Tiernans Adult school and St Colmcilles Adult school.

I really enjoy recording podcasts, I have fun recording them. I also think that one of the best satisfaction is to connect with the people. The podcasts give me the opportunity to show my culture and help the Spanish students to improve their comprehension skills.

I love teaching kids a new language

I have been living in Ireland for 7 years, the first two were difficult for me because of the language barrier. This is why I love making the learning process easier to my students, showing them the strategies I used when I was learning English.

I have a large experience working and teaching children. I love teaching them Spanish and making the learning experience fun and interesting for them.

I believe teaching is all about vocation. I have worked in different environments and with all age groups which has provided me of a wide range of experiences in this area.

I am active, creative and emphatic person who understands how difficult and frustrating learning a new language can be. This is why I always do my best to provide my students of a quality and comfortable learning atmosphere.
